Aim: Maximise the use of sustainable, low carbon materials to offer savings during the construction of the new taxiway.
Description: OCL’s Foambase® and CBGM materials were approved and adopted as a more sustainable alternative to traditional asphalt and concrete. Over a period of 3 months of construction of 10,000t of Foambase and 20,000t of CBGM was site batched for the project. Huge milestone for OCL as we worked hard with designers and approvals as this was the first time these products were approved and used on a civil aviation authority airfield.
